Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has given permission to fill one thousand eighty-six of the vacant posts for the essential services of the municipality, in the wake of the Karona virus crisis getting worse day by day. The proposal, which has been stuck in the finance department for the last two and a half years, is expected in the municipality soon.

A proposal to recruit officials, staff, doctors, the paramedical staff of the health, fire and solid waste department was submitted to the state government on 8 November 2017 to facilitate the settlement of the work of the municipality. The municipality has proposed that the posts of Class 1 to 4 be vacant. He demanded that 75 percent of them should be allowed to fill 1248 posts. The state government has given permission to fill one thousand 86 of those posts, sources said. The Municipal Corporation has received the approval of the State Government.
Due to the lack of doctors in the backdrop of ‘Corona’, Additional Commissioner Rubal Agarwal highlighted the need for Pawar to approve the proposal. Pawar immediately took notice of the proposal and directed the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department to resolve the issue with the corporation. Accordingly, one thousand 86 posts have been allowed to be filled.

‘Take care of this’
It is urged to take care that the establishment cost will not be more than 35% while filling vacancies by the municipality. Also, in accordance with the policy of the Finance Department, the government has given special approval to all the posts in ‘Group C’ and ‘Group D’, which should be done as soon as possible by the machinery instead of regular filling.
