OPSC OCS Mains Admit Card 2022: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Wednesday released the Odisha OCS Mains Admit Card 2022. Eligible candidates can download their Odisha Civil Services Mains Exam Admit Card from the official website of the Commission, opsc.gov.in. 

The Commission is scheduled to conduct the Odisha Civil Services (Main) Examination-2020 from January 20, 2022 to February 6, 2022 (Except 26.01.2022 & 05.02.2022).

As many as 4754 candidates including 1551 women who have cleared the preliminary examination will appear in the main examination, one of the toughest recruitment examinations of the State, at designated examination centres across different cities.

How to Download the Odisha OCS Mains Admit Card 2022

1. Visit to the official website of Odisha Public Service Commission, opsc.gov.in.
2. Now Open and  visit  New  Section available on the homepage.
3. Click on the notification link that reads, ”Odisha Civil Service Main Written Examination-2020- Download Admission Certificate and etc.”
4. A new page will open.
5. Enter the login credentials such as PPSAN number, Date of Birth, and click on submit option.
6. Save, Download Odisha OCS Mains Admit Card 2022. Take a printout of it for future reference.

Examination Syllabus

 

SYLLABUS FOR ODISHA CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAMINATION

ODIA LANGUAGE
The aim of the paper is to test the candidate’s ability to understand serious discursive prose and express his ideas clearly and correctly in Odia language. The pattern of questions would broadly be as follows:-

• Comprehension of a given passage – 30 Marks
• Precis writing with a passage of around 1000 words –  40 Marks
• Translation from English to Odia- 30 Marks
• Grammar, usage and vocabulary-80 Marks
• Short Essay of around 1000 words-100 Marks
• Expansion of an idea -20 Marks
• Total -300 Marks

OCS-2020 Main Examination: 

The Main Examination shall consist of the following papers (mentioned below) and each paper shall be of three hours duration.

Compulsory papers – 1400 marks
Paper – I Odia Language 300 Marks
Paper – II English 300 Marks
Paper – III English Essay 200 Marks
Paper – IV General Studies-I 300 Marks
Paper – V General Studies-II  300 Marks

Optional
Papers – (Paper VI,VII,VIII & IX) – 1200 marks

Those who clear the Main examination will be called for personality test or interview. The personality test carries 250 marks.

The official notification for the Odisha Civil Service Examination was published by the OPSC in February 2021 for filling up 392 Group A and Group B posts coming under the Odisha Civil Services.
